Package 1.

The Malaysian Army since 1933 

 A walk through the Malaysian Army Museum tells us the story of the formation of the Malaysian Army since 1933.  Its galleries exhibit the history of Melaka, pre-independence, British rule, Fight for Independence and the forming of the Malayan Army.

It also portrays Guerilla Insurgency against the Communists.  It has a replica of a Tunnel built by the communists in the Malayan jungle.  It also exhibits many old aircrafts, locomotives, artillery guns etc etc.  Visit to the Army Museum Port Dickson

Duration –  8 hours                Pax – 10 – 40 per tour

* 0900hrs  – Arrival at Museum. Greeted by Museum Staff dressed in “old”  uniforms with helmets etc etc.

* All guests pinned with a Veteran Bungaraya/ (Poppy)

* 0930hrs – Briefing and Video presentation at the Auditorium.

* 1000hrs – Walking Tour to all the Galleries.

* 1200hrs – Demonstration of some jungle survival tactics.

* 1300hrs – Military style Lunch – eat off a mess tin.

* 1400 hrs – Drive through PUSASDA, IJED, LATEDA – FMC, Peace-Keeping Training

Package 2

WALKING TOUR IN-REMEMBRANCE

Duration:  8 hours             Pax:    10- 40 per Tour

National Monument Tour / PDRM Museum

The National Monument, built in 1966, is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia’s struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. It is located in the Federal capital, Kuala Lumpur.  The sculpture depicts 7 figures, 5 of the figures 1. holding the Malaysian flag, 2. armed with a rifle and bayonet (left), 3. armed with a machine gun (right), 4. soldiers tending to fifth wounded compatriot represents the victorious allied forces while the other 2 figures that lie on the ground represents that of the defeated communist forces.

Overall the monument depicts the victory of the forces of democracy, peace and freedom over that of communism. On the monument, it is written “To Our Glorious Dead” with dates of the First World War (1914-1918), Second World War (1939-1945) and the Emergency (1948-1960).

The PDRM Museum glorifies the Police Forces contribution to Nation-building.  The Museum displays the era of the Police Force since their formation in 25th March 1807.
